This is probably an electron issue that we pick up on adding version 30.1.2. Quite probably the same as #1341 (@itouchdennis.). I have closed that issue to avoid needing to track, respond in to places at once.

I wonder if it is this one electron/electron#42351 but to know that I would appreciate if you can let me know what GUI you are using. Is it Wayland by any chance ? Thanks.

Thanks for caring. I see the initial move to electron 30 is quite old (since 1.4.28), but I can see it was quickly reverted since 1.4.34, therefore 1.7.x series included electron 29. I'm not sure since when I've been experiencing this issue but I can say that 1.7.x series and, at least, latest versions in 1.6.x had this trouble.

Also note that I'm not using wayland, but X11.

I really don't know but will keep updating the version of electron. Keep at 1.7.x and check every now and then the pre-releases.

Sorry to hear but that version change only changed the electron version. https://github.com/electron/electron/releases/tag/v30.2.0 is the latest release and we are just one behind.

If continues to fail, we will just revert back to electron 29, or jump to 31.

I wonder if this change in their side is what is causing those problems electron/electron#35658

Can you try https://github.com/IsmaelMartinez/teams-for-linux/releases/tag/v1.9.0 ? I don't think that would fix it but worth a try.

We need to move from electron 29 as is EOL in August, so prefer to not go back to 29 as then it gets nasty, but hopefully we get a fix soon.

As I said, I will check on 1.9.0 (glad to hear testing results from wombatka). BTW, the problem is only specific to single window sharing. Sharing full screen has always been working correctly.

Sorry to hear. Do you all have the problem mainly on sharing single windows or does this also happen when sharing full screen? I suspect it is an electron issue but it might be on the move from BrowserWindow to WebContentsView. But just a guess

I experience the issue only when sharing single window- full screen sharing is not affected

Just in case... wombatka already informed about the issue in 1.9.0, so do I. Regards,
