All this time I thought this issue was probably due to some scuffed OS config since I never saw anyone else in the same boat!

Yes, but different. 😉 The font seems to get smaller, not just denser.

I cannot reproduce this with https://teams.microsoft.com/v2/ or while using Firefox.

This looks like a chromium shenanigans. Electron uses it under the hood...
The latest Election update in v1.4.14 seems to resolve this issue. Thanks a lot to all contributors, closing.
