That example app with those dependencies works fine for me.
What version of wasm-bindgen are you using? Also, what version of rust are you using?
We do have WASM bindings for recrypt already. They're over in https://github.com/ironcorelabs/recrypt-wasm-binding. If your goal is learning and trying to get it to build I'm happy to help further (and I can put up a github project that works for me).
If you want to use recrypt from JS, the binding is the best path forward.

My coworker @ernieturner just pointed out that it does break if you build it on osx.
If you change your recrypt dependency to recrypt = { version = "~0.11.0", features = ["wasm"], default-features = false }
then it will build on OSX.
