Seems like its no longer happening, I had a CI build that failed which I think might be related, but after restarting the build it seems to have installed fine.

intermittent failure, unclear why. I have "node-fetch": "^2.6.0", as a dependency as well, maybe there was some version collision.

So, we have multiple gateways and you may have been bouncing between them. However, there was some chatter on the infra channels about cert issues (we were including a partial chain which worked with browsers but not some tools).
@gmasgras sound right to you?

Yep, one of our gateways in ams1 had an incomplete cert that caused some tools on Linux to fail SSL verification.
All gateways should be fixed now

This will crash lerna bootstrap bricking CI builds for monorepos that use this package.
Please rename this issue to match the linked one: ipfs/npm-go-ipfs#22 (comment)
"Binary Hosting Causes Intermittent Failure" or similar, this is not an SSL issue, its a CDN reliability one... Hopefully a good sign that IPFS is getting the hug of death from all the developers relying on it :)

I had to npm uninstall go-ipfs-dep --save... probably should not have had that installed in the first place... pretty sure I added it while trying to hack around this issue.

@OR13 a lot has changed since August, both on the Gateway and across the IPFS network. Are you still hitting this issue, or has it become but a distant memory?
