I just found your iostonykraft.github.io repo, and was surprised and excited to discover an update from PerfectFit 1.0.2 to 1.0.4.

Unfortunately this version does not function on any apps. I tried 5 apps that have always worked under trusty 1.0.2 and they all appeared the same as if PerfectFit wasn’t even installed. I checked the PerfectFit settings and those apps all remained checked as before. I also verified PerfectFit.dylib was loaded in SpringBoard.

I used Cydia to Downgrade to v1.0.2 again and everything functions great like before. Including Instagram v123.1.

Note: Installing the update obviously required a Respring but I did not experiment with a complete device reboot. (Usually I can identify when this is necessary because the loaded dylibs will end in .dylib-pkg-tmp or similar, indicating the old version remains loaded in memory. A re-jailbreak with unc0ver “Reload System Daemons” almost always solves that without needing to reboot device.)

After relying on this tweak for 2-3 years I finally found a better one and then an even better one yet was released mere weeks later:

NoMoreSmallApps (I think by pcxex) which works great and seems to solve some of the iPad PopoverPresentation crashes in PerfectFit from most apps that have a Share button that pops up an action sheet.

AppPad by PoomSmart which is the ULTIMATE!!! This incredible BEAST of a tweak enables iPad SlideOver, SplitView, and Rotation to EVERY APP!!!!! You can SlideOver iOS Settings.app for the first time ever! And it has a “Disable on specific apps:” list, for example full screen 3D games which render badly when in a SplitView mode they were never designed to handle.

I can’t recommend AppPad strongly enough but NoMoreSmallApps was very impressive itself until I found AppPad.

At this point PerfectFit is woefully out of date, (the latest version crashed and was unusable for me so I was always stuck with the 2nd latest release) and seems abandoned for years, so I’m finally uninstalling it.

But MASSIVE THANK YOU to @iostonykraft for the years of using this tweak which masssively enhanced my hours of daily iPad use! Thousands of hours of use with this tweak altogether, probably ~3,000h+ given my iPad’s lifetime battery Power On hours of 11,000. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
