I followed the the instruction, but got the same error. I was able to successfully install Image Class by removing 'Intervention\Image\ImageServiceProvider' from providers and removing 'Image' => 'Intervention\Image\Facades\Image' from aliases in in app.php. I kept the line requiring "intervention/image": "dev-master" in composer.json and then updated composer. After the Image Class was installed, I added the providers and alias lines in app.php

Image Class will be auto-loaded by Laravel. Please make sure you have installed it properly via Composer and after that add the Service Provider and Facade.
