Metadata cannot be blank for Event about intercom-php HOT 2 CLOSED

I suspect the issue is the Intercom API is expecting a JSON object for the metadata field and Guzzle (the underlying framework) is not converting the empty array [] into an empty JSON object {} because it does not contain any data. Instead you're sending an empty array which we're throwing an error for.

I believe the correct solution is if you have no metadata then you should not set the metadata key in the array, it's not required.

@eugeneius pointed out to me that PHP has a constant that you can set if you would like Guzzle to convert empty arrays into empty objects but since the metadata field is optional it seems that conditionally including it only when you have actual metadata is the recommended way to do this.
