It looks like the tab theme has an optional footer (themes\TabTheme\widgets\Footer) where these could be placed (as small as practical?).

I think there's a lot of potential for clutter there on the map and putting them in the footer widget (mentioned above) might give us more predictability. I'm curious to see how those are handled as the site adjusts to smaller screen size.

I just tested. They don't do well once down to phone sizes. I will put them in the footer for now. Ignore my pull request.
