I'm fine changing it to that behavior. However, if you are going to share it with someone, you will need to share them the password still.

I think it's more intuitive to get only the link from that dialog. The password is shown in clear text at the screen anyway. The link field only contains the link, but issn't accessible for copying.
At least this is my expectation also from experience with other web services.
In my experience, if the button would be labeled "Share", then I'd be OK with getting more text in the clipboard. But we a mere copy right next to the link I'd expect only the URL.

The copy button being right next to the link makes a lot of sense to me as an argument for it copying just the url.
