The first is a very good suggestion and I understand your situation. There was actually a recursive option in the first versions of the app, but it was replaced by the multiselection area. I will think of a way to implement this, but unfortunately it will take some time since my free time is very limited.

I haven't actually run it yet but in the event of a broken data path will it or does it have a resume feature?

If a file doesn't exist at conversion time it will simply continue with the next one.

Also it seems to need or shows it needs other libs to convert formats. This should all be included in the installation and/or perhaps a system built in that checks for needed dependencies and updates them automatically at intervals. Normally this can also be done by many distros in the software updater.

All this has to do with packaging and dependencies handling from package managers. I don't do the packaging. Maybe you could ask this to the packager of your distro (if any).

Ok well it wasnt in the packages of my distro so I added the PPA
manually, but if it does get into the distro, then I will go tell the
manager as needed. I do have another one but it is not a multiconverter
just able to convert 1 type of file. However I recall it also does not
have recursive ability etc.

I agree that being a free software mostly these are ideas for future.
Not demanding in any way.
I should start learning how to program, as there is a lot of stuff I
would like to create. But I am 53 and never did any programming.

I think the goal is once all these great apps are done they will make up
the ultimate linux distribution.
Something that can compete with Windows 10. Frankly of course there are
many Linux apps that blow away the equivalent Windows apps, but then
there are also some Windows apps that blow away Linux apps. Slowly they
will become merged into 1.

Thunderbird for example is one that looks and acts the same in both
Windows and Linux. Same as Firefox, Chrome, and other major apps, but
then the separation comes. Most times I find more options in the Linux
side vs the Windows side. I guess it is more how things are done, that
makes them different.

I will just go in search of the missing items. I am sure it is just a
matter of the package dependencies.
