We're already planning to segregate those types of news based on yesterdays conversation: #46
You'll have "Financial News" and "Pol-Mil News".
from absolute-pin.
How about general news? i.e., the Thomson Reuters feed that we are developing, or news sources like New York Times.
from absolute-pin.
Scott - Boston Herald does not have an RSS feed and requires a
subscription, as does Forbes. We are currently harvesting majority of the
Economist's feeds, and I just cued up the Toronto Star. Let me know if any
others come up.
Have a great weekend!

Josh,
Thomson Reuters does not have coverage of Boston Herald, Toronto Star, the
Economist and Forbes. Please add these to the news source list. Should
we/can we dissaggregate general news from financial news?

Kelli- once we have Thomson Reuters up and running, pls assess whether we need additional subscriptions to the following: Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Forbes or whether TR already has these. If we need to subscribe, I'll just need the cost information to approve the purchase. we should have our TR contract by the end of next week at the latest.

Received. Will do.

Andrew and Josh,
Just to keep y'all updated, we will have Thomson Reuters up and running soon. I researched the Westlaw Database Directory and found that they pull from Forbes and Wall Street through another provider to Westlaw, NewsRoom. We might need to discuss subscribing to Bloomberg. I will determine whether this is necessary or not.
