Hi! I'm a bit busy right now and won't be able to help much for a couple of days, but I think your problem lies here:
$GOPATH/go.mod exists but should not
Also, this package is not go gettable, so the first approach of running make is the correct one.

Hi Ignacio,
I couldn't figure out the issue with the Go paths and needed to get the broker up and running, so I just reconfigure the JPMens pluging and mosquitto 1.5.9.
