@atanasj Thanks for the kind words, and apologies for replying 2 months late -- I must have missed the notification of your issue.
To answer your question in brief, simply migrating (i.e. copy-pasting) parts of config from your personal org file to my config.org
should work. A good way is to migrate bit by bit and restart frequently to make sure everything's working fine every time you changed something.
In general, the order of configuration doesn't matter, things like GUI enhancement and dired tweaks can go anywhere. That said, there are certain times in which orders do matter -- if you want to load a feature that depends on the loading of another feature. However, I believe your R, markdown, doom-themes packages are "stand-alone" enough that you don't have to worry about this.
