Reading that article was in fact one of several reasons why I started Hyperform :)

If you take a look at the accompanying CSS file it does something similar, but exactly the other way round: Hide all error messages except the one for the focussed element.

The CSS assumes, that the style author has some styles in place to address .hf-validated.hf-invalid, a state when users entered invalid commands. Then the error messages are displayed only if and exactly when needed.

I agree though, that the system of evaluating, updating and displaying errors might need tweaking. I keep this ticket open in order to getting Hyperform to act like outlined in the linked article.

For short-term fixing this, you can refer to the CSS file above and address some parts directly via styles only.
