Sorry for the delay. I have this working, just having trouble finding the time to test it out/push the update. I'm also trying to decide on the best way to specify this in the layer style. Right now gradient specifies the fill gradient. I could call the property strokeGradient but that's backwards from the other Leaflet style names (e.g. fillColor). I'm trying to be smart about how the gradient property gets interpreted so that this doesn't break existing implementations. Ideally, there would be gradient (stroke gradient) and fillGradient properties. Maybe if it's a polyline, gradient and fillGradient both update the stroke gradient. If it's a polygon, then if gradient is specified, it updates the fill gradient, but if gradient and fillGradient are both specified, gradient updates the stroke gradient. Just need to test to make sure all cases are supported.
