No plan right now. I'd like to know what's your requirement. It could be included in this package if feasible.

I have parsers that generally locate the block that needs to be parsed within a long text and then need to run a chain of transformations on it so they are generally operating on slices (lines of text). In short, it would be convenient in my case but not necessary.

OK, I see. If there is no strong reason to add new api, I would prefer not to do so. Thanks for your input anyway. :)
