@weetabix-su, I had this too. AFAICT It's because the projects are linking to v100 (2010 sdk, or in other words 7.0A) and don't have additional include dirs for $(DXSDK_DIR)Include, etc.

Anyway, you can fix this by opening your .vcxproj.user files in Windows/ and headless/ and adding in this code:

For me, I had to add the full path to the 7.1 SDK x64 dir in LibraryPath too, but I dunno why. Before that my x64 just wouldn't build. I'm using Visual Studio 2012, though.

But this file is (intentionally) not versioned so that should work out fine.
