Installing ancIBD fails when building wheel about ancibd HOT 4 CLOSED

The error message is apparently from installing the Python package scikit-allel - something goes wrong when building its c functions.

scikit-allel is a dependency of ancIBD, which uses scikit-allel to transform files from VCF to HDF5 in the pre-processing.

You can try to install ancIBD itself without dependencies, and then manually install an older version of scikit-allel, or fix its installation by itself.

I seem to continue getting errors about building wheel for scikit-allele, for the newest version of it, at least.
I'll try installing an older one.
Can you recall which one were you using for ancIBD?

On O2 I use scikit-alle 1.2.1, installed successfully via pip in a Python environment. I just checked: It upgrades to 1.3.5 successfully.

I am closing this issue as it is related to installing sci-kit-allele and not ancIBD itself. You could post an issue with them. Plus, it is definitely fine to use older versions of it.
