Hey there @sbidy, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (wiz) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

I accidentally pasted the same screenshot twice, I edited and uploaded the correct one for the third screenshot.

@erikgeurts I came here looking for the same issue and it wasn't until I followed the link to the integrations documentation that I figured it out, I think we both misunderstood the label 'Effect Speed'.

As per the documentation, "The speed of an effect can be controlled via a number entity. The entity will only be available when an effect has been set that allows the speed to be adjusted."

This setting is for the speed of an 'effect' (eg. pulse or alarm), and not the fade in fade out speed. I believe that this should be filed under 'Feature Request', it really would be nice to have.

@Topiatic That's a great find. I don't think 'effect speed' is something that the Wiz app supports directly, and I can't see any reference to it in the native app. Or is this related to the 'Dynamic' patters like "candlelight" or "Pulse" in the Wizz app?

I agree, by the way, that being able to see and adjust the fade in and fade out settings of a Wiz bulb would be a nice addition to the feature set of this integration.

@erikgeurts yes in the app they are under 'Dynamic', most of them have a speed option at the bottom of the screen right next to 'brightness'

I was wondering if @sbidy might be able to comment about the feasibility of adding the "fade in" and "fade out" settings to the integration.

If I remember correctly, the speed for in/out fading was not exposed to the UDP API of the bulb. Not everything in the App is also available in the (local) UDP API.

I don't have the latest API documentation (especially for the WizV2) App or/and the UDP changes.

Thanks for the quick response. Interesting to read that some of the features of the bulbs are not exposed via the local UDP API, yet available to the native app. Hopefully this will be added by the WiZ developers at some point in the future. The question is, of course, if existing bulbs can get their firmware updated (similar to Hue bulbs) so that they would take on new functionality as well.

Given that we'll all be relying on the developers at WiZ to add this to the local API first, before it can be picked up by this integration and thus Home Assistant, I think it's best to close this issue.
