48_hour_hackathon icon 48_hour_hackathon

Project Detailed Description: Today many Ultimate Software Customers are inundated with hundreds of applications. It may take many hours for a recruiter to sift through and identify the most highly qualified candidates. After identifying these top contenders, they still need to interview them. With Ulti Themis we propose to maximize recruiter time and effort by streamlining the interview process by incorporating automated video interviews and providing key candidate metrics such as culture match based on the information collected during these recorded sessions.

calcam icon calcam

As a team, designed and coded an android app that logs users' daily nutritional intake by identifying pictures of food taken by user. Incorporated Clarifai visual recognition API, machine learning, Android Studio, Java, and Python

emotion_detection icon emotion_detection

Text-based emotion detection model in Python using PyTorch, Pandas, and AllenNLP; improved accuracy by 28% using transfer learning with state-of-the-art word embedding model, BERT

facial-recognition icon facial-recognition

• Programed a LBPH facial recognition classifier that detects a face in an image, predicts and labels the name of the subject, and outputs the corresponding prediction confidence level • Incorporated machine learning and OpenCV in Python

image-processing-algorithms icon image-processing-algorithms

Coded a fast algorithm for multi-level image thresholding in MATLAB that decreases runtime when compared to built-in image segmentation methods & Programmed an algorithm in MATLAB that converts a grayscale image into a binary image without using built-in computer vision libraries

machine-learning-iris-classifier icon machine-learning-iris-classifier

Using python (sklearn and numpy), programmed a classifier that identifies different types of iris flowers into setosa, versicolor, and virginica

stimu-step icon stimu-step

As a team, designed and programmed a wearable device that detects freezing of gait for people with Parkinson’s disease and responds by sending vibrations to patellar tendon to stimulate gait . Incorporated MATLAB (signal processing), Arduino Uno, and DC motor
