@zifeishan Is this still an issue?

AMI is running properly now. This shouldn't be an issue. Better to check with @feiranwang

feiranwang avatar feiranwang commented on July 22, 2024

The most recent one is not configured by me, but I can check it. @zifeishan

It's still 1.6. (I don't have permission to modify it) @zifeishan

I think Ce @zhangce created the AMI?

Alternatively, we can add into the AMI guide to let users install JDK7 manually.

We need a documented process about generating the AMI and uploading it, so that any of us can do it.

I forked Denny's AMI and created one... So any one else
should have the same permission if they fork my AMI,
publish it, and I delete the old one.

@zhangce : Ce, where's your AMI? How do we fork it? Sorry for the stupid questions, I never worked with AMIs

zhangce avatar zhangce commented on July 22, 2024

Follow this one (http://deepdive.stanford.edu/doc/advanced/ec2.html) you
can create your own AMI.

By having a robust universal installation method, our AMIs will be deprecated. See #302.
