Hi, @hgjlee!
The output size of the neural network used by DeepSurv needs to be 1. This is because DeepSurv is just regular CoxPH regression where the the MLP creates a risk score for an individual (represented by some covariates), and this score is scaled to survival or hazard estimates throught a non-parametric function that does not depend on the covariates.
If you could maybe explain why you want an output size that is greater than 1, or what your end goal is, I might be able to assist you further.

Great! That makes sense. I was trying to improve the performance level in terms of c-index and was wondering if the output size was hindering it. Your explanation clarified it for me. Thanks!
