Harrison Peace's Projects

api-employee-directory icon api-employee-directory

For this project I fetched data from the Random User Generator API to create an employee directory. This was to show my understanding of using API’s and JavaScript; through pulling data from the API, compiling that data into profiles, and then inserting these profiles into the DOM. I also created an Employee overlay with buttons to move through the list of profiles generated to show my understanding of JavaScript further.

game-show-app-vs1 icon game-show-app-vs1

For this project I created a word game app where you guess the movie quote. I store the movie quotes in an array and use math.random() to select a quote to then appear on the screen. I used event listeners and functions to create the application of the game; waiting for a letter to be clicked and then comparing that to the array chosen. As it was a game, I had some fun using bright colors and fun transitions to make the game more interesting.

web-app-dashboard icon web-app-dashboard

For this project I created a web application dashboard to showcase statistics and other information for a mock website. I used chart.js to render the charts onto the page while writing the rest of the code myself. I used local storage to save the dashboard settings on refresh and wrote code to allow charts to be updated and factitious messages to be sent. I wanted to make the dashboard look as close to the supplied image as possible to practice building a website based off someone else's design.
