As noted in the building instructions, they are assumed to be being done in PowerShell, not Visual Studio. Try it again in the repo root with PS.

It's not, it'll only be there on your machine after you run the command for setting up the CMake project that's shown in the BUILDING.md file

I have successfully built this project at the command line, I was just trying to build it inside Visual Studio.

You don't use CMake from in Visual Studio. Use the Build menu and Debug button.

Sorry for the late response. So before I can even get to that step and use the build and debug options, i have to load the CMakeLists.txt file for them to appear and not be greyed out. When loading the CMakeLists.txt file to get to that step, this is where those errors occur.

I'm still confused. There should be nothing happening with the CMakeLists.txt file in VS that I know of. You run the setup command in Powershell, and then you load the ship.sln file in build/x64.

I've already successfully built shipwright using command line and the instructions from here.

I was simply trying to build it inside Visual Studio like I've done with other projects. When opening a project in Visual Studio, you have to load the CMakeLists.txt file to progress with compilation. Is there a way to support building within the Visual Studio program?

How, exactly, are you "loading the CMakeLists.txt file"? Did you open build/x64/ship.sln? I have never manually done anything with the cmake file in Visual Studio, it just works when you open the solution file.

I do File > Open > CMake to load the CMakeLists.txt file. When its loading that CMakeLists.txt file is when i get those errors.

My apologize, but I cant find the build/x64 directory or the ship.sln file. When I look for that file using GitHub on the main project page, it doesnt find it in the repo either. Where is the ship.sln file located specifically in the git clone directory of the project?
