Low (<3.0) FW versions with no browser about guide_3ds HOT 3 CLOSED

This is for if you did Part 4 and got stuck due to screwing up somewhere.

Non-functional means exactly what it sounds like, not working. The card update will allow browser to open once more even if it partially downgraded, letting you fix your system by restoring the NAND backup you made at the beginning of Part 4.

I see... Let me check if I got things right:

• If you've got a non-trivially exploitable system version (i.e. 2.2.0-0U);
• AND your browser/network version is zero, as in, you've never done an online update before;
• AND this is the first time you're following the guide (i.e. haven't started step 1 yet);

Then your only option is going the cubic ninja route? Or are there any procedures you can use to upgrade to a browser-enabled 9.0/9.2 from versions < 3.0 (since cart updates wont give you browser)?

I hope you don't mind me asking, but a lot of the stuff on gbatemp is outdated and conflicting information.

Your cheapest option is to buy Ocarina of Time and a Powersaves, then updating to 10.7 (quickly before 10.8 is released), then downgrading to 9.2.
