Think that should work, maybe you don't have the latest package cached.
I just did auto package refreshing (5bda9c9), hope that helps.
update to version 0.3.8 :)

In my case package only available on github repo, not in public repository. Does this case supported?

Hacklone avatar Hacklone commented on September 12, 2024

Yes absolutely, you should register your package first:

bower register [packageName] [gitRepo]

from private-bower.

Hacklone avatar Hacklone commented on September 12, 2024

Did that help?

orangejuicy avatar orangejuicy commented on September 12, 2024

Sorry, may be i'm not correct.
We have public github repo, but our package not in bower public registry.
Can private-bower cache git repo in that case?

Hacklone avatar Hacklone commented on September 12, 2024

So you mean, you registered your package to the private-bower registry, but moreover you want that package to be also cached?

orangejuicy avatar orangejuicy commented on September 12, 2024

That's right :)

Please update to version 0.4.0, then add "cachePrivate" property to your config as described in the readme.
If there's any issue with this new feature please reopen :)
Hopes this is what you need. :)

Something happened, and now private-bower did't cache anything :(

It works for me, maybe try it with a fresh install?

from private-bower.

Hacklone avatar Hacklone commented on September 12, 2024

Did a fresh install help? Maybe it was connected to #33 ...

orangejuicy avatar orangejuicy commented on September 12, 2024

Yes, thank you. I think all troubles was in my proxy settings on client and server.

But now I have "Failed to clone" messages in private-bower log when run bower install with private-bower as registry.
Even with this messages bower can successfully installs needed packages, but not always.
Sorry, but I can't describe deeper. There is no additional information in log.

Hacklone avatar Hacklone commented on September 12, 2024

I think that is connected to #29 so I'll close this issue.
