EMAIL SCRIPT
What are the most important messages to convey in the email script?
1. We want to help future climate tech projects in their journey of securing funding
2. We want to know whether they secured funding for their project and what was the process of achieving that
3. We want to know what pain points they faced, and what helped, in the process of securing funding
How many times do we reach-out before we disengage?
Maybe we can identify 2-3 key people in the project & try them one by one if the first person doesn't respond.
If they don't want to interview, should we send them a survey (we can make more quant or qual) to complete?
This could be the last resort? After a couple of interviews we can get enough insight to make a qualitative survey.
Ways to incentivize (trading interviews, resources, etc...)
We can try adding a line appreciating their project in the email, which might make them more likely to respond.
What platforms are we using to reach out to possible participants on?
First email & then perhaps slack?
from greenearthos.

from greenearthos.
Quick draft for the recruiting email
To-do's
- Draft reviewed by team
- Create subject line

from greenearthos.
@patrickm-tan Before sending it out, we need to connect with Bonnie. :)
from greenearthos.

from greenearthos.
In order to reach out to people, following things are required -
- Calendly for the project
- GreenEarthOS website to be up-to-date
- Link to the events on the GreenEarthOS
- Review the questionnaire of the research plan
from greenearthos.
@gstill , Could you please provide the link of the document in the issue you are working on.
from greenearthos.
Group exercise is needed to rearrange the question to make it more quantitative kind of thing. For now it is more of descriptive, we need to redefine it to yes or no/ or with 0-6 scale.
from greenearthos.
About creating quantitative questions from the qualitative ones: I think that it might be the wrong way to go about it. I think that it would be beneficial to interview some people first and create survey questions based on their answers to test the validity of it in the population. Otherwise, we might as well just ask the same qualitative questions in a survey and do a thematic analysis such as an affinity map. Just would not be able to probe based on the answer or ask clarifying questions.
from greenearthos.
Also, has anyone done a literature review on the problem space?
from greenearthos.
Progress: Tried to think about possible ways to create quant survey questions from the qual interview questions. See 2 previous comments.
Blockers: Stuck on identifying the process to use.
Availability: variable.
ETA: depends on the method chosen.
