Our custom-built Content Mgmt System will allow projects to be able to list the skill set they need to move their project forward and will match volunteers by availability, skills, and, role, and program area. 

**Volunteer Opportunity**: We are looking for an experienced UX Researcher to help out with ongoing usability research needs such as scoping, executing, and reporting for user testing.

**Duration**: 
- We are looking for 6-10 months of commitment volunteering 5-10 hours a week
- You should be available to attend monthly all-team meetings on the third Tuesday at 5 PM PST & UXR team meetings on Friday at 12pm PST.

**Project Name:** Civic Tech Jobs

**About the Project:** A platform for all prospective volunteers to find roles and projects at Hack for LA. We are designing and testing what the prospective volunteers will see, and also the system that PMs and Team Leads will use to post volunteer roles.

**Volunteer opportunity:** We have just completed the first phase of moderated usability testing and have more to come. This team member will have the opportunity to participate in the design of research plans, conduct user interviews and usability tests, create research reports, design user surveys, and potentially more. You will get to work in a collaborative team with UX researchers, designers, engineers and PMs.

**Meeting times:**
* Tuesdays 5-6pm PST
* UXR team TBD

**Responsibilities**:
Design wireframes and hi-fi mockups for website, CMS, and improve existing designs for a new Hack for LA Roles Board website that will connect new volunteers with project roles (and will replace this Github board!). Work closely with UX Researchers and developers in cross-functional team. 

**Duration**: Open-ended (4-6 hours/week)

**Meetings**:
- Monthly on the third Tuesdays 5-6pm PST (Mandatory All team)
- TBD one hour a week (Mandatory UX team)

**About the Project:**
Civic Tech Jobs’ goal is to streamline the online process of 1) helping prospective volunteers find open Hack for LA projects that better match their current skills and career aspirations and 2) team leads posting and editing open roles.

**Volunteer Opportunity**:
We are looking for two UI/UX Designers to help us develop the MVP. Having industry experience with building digital products is a HUGE plus (but not necessary)!

**Duration**:
Open ended, 6 hours/week
Team Meetings: Tuesdays, 5PM PST
