Plan for a new official release - oficial maven dependency about gwt HOT 2 CLOSED

The latest release is a little less than a year old, which is not terrible given GWT's history.

That said, we're starting to talk about finalizing a few pending PRs to get a release out, see https://groups.google.com/g/google-web-toolkit-contributors/c/JfIAPN6XFCo. Watch that mailing list for requests for volunteer testers to validate this release before we ship it. We could also use volunteers for reviewing pull requests.

Nightly builds go out to sonatype-snapshots every, well, night, after passing all tests in Java 8 and 11 (and soon, 17). Use https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/ for the repo server, see https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/gwtproject/gwt-dev/ for example.

I see that there is a lot of activity in this project (thaks for all the contributors) but the latest release is quite old. Is there a plan to release a new version for GWT or the recomended way to benefit from all the new contributions is to build my own gwt using the latest version from the project? Sorry if this is not a propper way to ask this question (by creating an issue).
