You should be able to create two separate pusher instances (one for each application) and everything should work as planned. Also, since we're just using a TCPSocket under the covers, there shouldn't be any thread safety issues with sidekiq. That being said I haven't tried either of these out for myself. I've mainly used grocer with either a single process or forked processes (Resque workers).
If you run into any specific issues while implementing this please open a bug with some specifics we can look into.
