This issue is related to the now obsolete GraphQLClient which is being replaced by GraphQLHttpClient.
I assume there will be no more releases of the 1.x code and the old version.
I will add some unit tests to the new client code instead.

No, there are not going to be any more 1.X release.
GraphQLClient will use internaly the GraphQLHttpClient due that in the future this library will support other protocols than HTTP.
v2 is not already released, but works pretty well. Im waiting to have a true GraphQL over HTTP standard. and atleast have a common convention about Subscriptions with WebSockets.
After your PR i will probably publish a preview of v2 at nuget.
If you are interested in the GraphQL over HTTP standar, take a look at https://github.com/APIs-guru/graphql-over-http this is where the spec will live before been published officialy.
