Having an environment variable per alert looks very specific and not reusable. We also don't use external variables for any config in the jsonnet. So I recommend sticking to using $._config

Can we try to come to a more reusable solution? What if instead we allow providing the for period for all alerts in a generic way - being able to set $._config.alerts.forPeriod['MimirInconsistentRuntimeConfig'] and then using this in a similar way to how withExtraLabelsAnnotations modifies the annotations for all alert rules.
