If you look on another issues, you will see that duplicated results are known issue and also why it's hard to fix.

gpodder.net is not abandoned. It is a hobby project, and is run on a tight budget, so data quality might not always meet expectations. There has already been a suggestion for cooperatively merging duplicate podcasts (#77), but I did not yet get around to implementing it. The fact that podcasts are sometimes not up to date is mostly a resource problem. gpodder.net indexes a lot of podcasts (some of them duplicates, alas) and keeping them up to date is resource intensive. Our hosting is provided by https://prgmr.com/ but currently does not allow to index all podcasts in short enough intervals.

How to help? If you're interested in implementing functionality to submitting and reviewing merges of duplicate podcasts, I'm happy to assist and give instructions. If you want to help with the resource bottleneck, a donation is appreciated.
