Not sure exactly why you mention unified push. Gotify works with message priorities. When you define a priority of 0, then the android client will only send a silent push notification. If you don't want any notification you can suppress them in the android notification settings.

I might have misunderstood but, this may be referring to turning off the notifications in the server UI and not at the client end.
So notifications are only shown in the android app and not in the server web login page.
