Gordon Mei's Projects

aerosmith icon aerosmith

2010 March 17. Aero from Windows Vista and 7 using CSS 3 only for visuals (buttons, windows, menus) (and to be nice to IE, filters for them). Javascript is added in for click interactivity that CSS cannot provide, such as triggering a select all or posting date-timestamps. Progressively enhances as you use Webkit-based (Safari, Chrome) and recent Gecko-based (Firefox) browsers. Looks a tad plainer on browsers without as much CSS support, like Camino, Opera, and Internet Explorer.

2011 August 16. Client-side validation with shaking oh-no-you-didn't head motion. More extensive input placeholder attribute implementation for browsers lacking support. 2011 October 9. Fade placeholder text upon form input focus to retain context, then clear upon keystroke.
