Bigtable.Filter is undefined about nodejs-bigtable HOT 4 CLOSED

Just a small update, I decided to investigate the codebase myself and noticed that there is no reference to Filter passed in src/index.js.

A workaround I used to be able to access the Filter property is by importing the feature like below:

const Filter = require('@google-cloud/bigtable/src/filter');

from nodejs-bigtable.

@callmehiphop is this how the Filter object is meant to be used?

As an example of how to use filters, take a look at the method docs for table.createReadStream(): https://cloud.google.com/nodejs/docs/reference/bigtable/0.13.x/Table.html#createReadStream:

table.createReadStream({
  filter: [
    {
      column: 'gwashington'
    }, {
      value: 1
    }
  ]
});

Filter is actually a private class, that isn't to be used directly. I'll try to find a fix to remove them from the docs.
