Optimize SVG please about material-design-icons HOT 5 CLOSED

Thanks for the feedback. We're going to aim to at minimum optimize the existing assets in the next release or two.

Most of our icon processing is done using internal scripts calling node modules, but we hope to eventually have a more public build process :)

I just used Leanify for twemoji's 800+ icons. Took only a minute total to download, unzip the Leanify.exe, drag-drop the svg folder on top of the exe, & let it run. Saved 20% in 60 seconds (well, the merging took longer) with millions of people getting smaller files; a good investment of time.

I'm closing this, as I believe the SVGs are now fully optimized.

Your comments regarding including an id, source, or some such thing is a good one, so we may think about that in the future. But I believe the core issue here is resolved.
