So I think there are two different issues here. This error message is not something from lf and I tried to grep it in go and termbox repos as well but nothing shows up. Sometimes a background process attached to your terminal prints something to the terminal. If this is the case there is not much we can do about it. You can use the renew command (default <c-l>) to clean the screen afterwards though.

For the second problem I don't have much clue. Can you check the log file to see if there is something useful there? One possibility I suspect is that this may be related to directory symbolic links which were not working properly until some time ago. Do you have the latest version? I think the binary version might be a little outdated. I will try to update them as soon as possible.

Ok. Yes. Sorry. I am now getting the first error in my terminal without using lf. Had never seen it before lf, but now it appears sometimes. So obviously not lf.

@5k3105 Just tried the /proc thing on master on both of my Linux machines, cannot reproduce. Perhaps you're indeed on some older version.
