@pedsmoreira Totally agree with you. Native is always better, saves unnecessary load on the server. Not very familiar with native emojis though... Looking into it.

I added to our roadmap, it'll be a very good feature to have. I'll keep this issue open until it gets implemented.

@akabiru I believe this feature deserves some discussion. Recently, browsers implemented emojis natively, so maybe it'd be better to convert the old codes like :alarm-clock: into the new emoji format when importing GitHub projects.
In my perspective (and I'm very open to discussion about this), having the native emojis is better because it reduces server processment (since it will happen only upon syncing, instead of everytime the profile is shown), the view code stays clean and the amount of assets transferred to the browser is reduced.
