I cannot 100% remember the error message. But it ignored my pandas version with 1.6 and tried to install a version of 0.24. I guess it might be related to the pip install rules of the package.

Yes, you can just git clone the code, and import it.

Can you update the requirements.txt pandas ==0.24.2 to pandas >=0.24.2. It took me ages to build wheels for pandas 0.24.2 and failed miserably :(
