Done w/ a sort of weird UI. B/c I filter read and unread notifications w/ unread being the first selected (segmented control), there is a possibility where the next page of notifications only contains unread stuff, thus not updating the UI.
So instead of infinite scroll, I'm adding a cell at the bottom that shows the current page number. Then you tap it and can get UI feedback when a new page has loaded, but no new notifications show up.
I'm actually really happy about this design. Avoids any confusion.
