The sample also includes an Oauth2 flow but it is based on urllib2 so I prefer my requests based version in authorize.py.

I just looked at this and it would require downgrading from requests to httplib2. My restclient and authorize classes are reasonably concise so I think I'm going to leave it (pending any input from SO)
