Same thing happened to me earlier today. There is an index in the database for Message.checksum, but it's not named 'sentry_message_checksum'. Mine is named 'sentry_message_5d699eee'. Odd. I think this is a South bug.

This may very well be a bug with South. Do you happen to know if you're running on the latest stable?

Hi,
I had this kind of bug with some of my Django apps. The bug is about the index naming that changed between Django 1.1 and 1.2.
The index naming on Django 1.2 now uses a hash (APP_MODEL_HASH) instead of APP_MODEL_FIELD.
To fix this, we modified the migration file to test whether the index is present, and then removed it using South API.

I simply removed the index migrations in 0006 since they're inconsistent. Thanks all.
