Hey, I agree that the choice is not optimal, but I'll go even further and say that no default choice shall suit everybody (the choice of the current default, for instance, was driven by some other tools such as SWIG and whatnot that struggle with non-canonical C, whereby they expect struct type_name and/or typedef … type_name_t around).
You have thus made me realize that even if ad-hoc renaming is on the "soonish timeline", a way to set up / override, globally, the naming scheme would be appreciated as well.
