May be willing to assist with some of this, particularly

• deps, build instructions, possibly build scripts
• settings, startup scripts (and maybe service install files), screen and other tricks
• autogenerate lists of pool configurations, select by region, maybe test latency and hop count
• possibly a compile walkthrough, possibly more automation

Ping me if needed. Will also throw up anything that seems useful in a repo of my own from which feel free to cherry-pick as needed.

As part of a bigger doc on building a mining rig, thought I'd share this six-minute terminal capture of installing sgminer-gm v5.5.4, master branch, on a cleanly installed Ubuntu 16.04.1 that's previously only had installed:

• openssh-server
• amdgpu-pro 16.50
• AMDAPPSDK-3.0

I don't yet have the GPUs installed, but this is the same setup I'm using on a couple of other rigs.

It just covers build + install. May very well be writing about other aspects of configuring and running the rig, we'll see.

I've thrown a quick HOWTO on compiling latest sgminer v5.5.5 for 16.04.1 + amdgpu-pro in the Wiki:
