No current plan for signatures, i'm afraid.

As for using the existing API, Then the C++ library provides access to any lower level blocks of the PDF so it should be possible to build signature data, provided that one knows what PDF elements are required for addition.

The node module does not provide as much access, only allowing object level access to modified documents objects (meaning, not while initially creating them) (see the file modification examples) and for adding annotations (see the comments example). However, it is very easy to modify the nodeJS module to provide access to anything that the C++ library can. It is in essence simply a set of drivers to the C++ library anyways.

So, if you or anyone is up for the task of investigating signatures and implementing them and there's some access missing, I can assist with providing the right access to the lower level C++ library, if this part is missing.
