Sorry about that. The site's actually checking for support for localStorage, which I'd assumed would be disabled when cookies are turned off, but instead it throws errors even when just checking for support. Should have tested that.
Got a fix for this coming soon though, thanks for reporting!

Oh, and the main thing it's used for is to store some of the settings under "Options", like the selected minimum browser usage %.
