I'm not sure how common a usage this is. Perhaps it would be an idea for fyne-x rather than straight to the main library?
Three-pane windows are not very common, but they exist: I work with at least two every day (e-mail client and a notes app). I suggested this as a feature request since it doesn't seem too difficult, but it's OK to leave this out of the core library. Since we are more or less in agreement, should this issue be closed?
As for the adaptability to small window size, I think even the basic two-way Split is not a good idea on mobile screens, so the multi-pane applications will have to switch layouts based on screen sizes anyway.

One of the reasons to be cautious is that with lots of splits comes a requirement for a large size - it could impede adjusting a UI down to small windows or mobile screen.
