[BUG] http auth fails " cURL error 6: Could not resolve host" about freshrss HOT 9 CLOSED

I was able to rebuild and test the proposed changes. Yes, they let me add the mentioned feed with authentication. I assume that this is a bugfix on which you are working - do you have any estimated release date? Shall I stick to this dev version in the meanwhile?

Last but not least: shall I close this issue or do you prefer to close it by yourself whenever you feel good about it? :-)

• https://www.jsonfeed.org/feed.json seems to work fine: you need to pick JSON Feed in the type of feed when adding it;

Excellent. If you feel like it, I would appreciate additional help to test. For instance with more special characters.

Furthermore, some other parts of the code-base have also been impacted, which also need testing. In particular:

• normal feeds
• retrieve full article content with CSS selector
• JSON feeds / JSON documents
• HTML+XPath Web scraping

I will soon merge in the edge branch, and the next stable release 1.24 is a few weeks away

from freshrss.

As I was not able to test before, I have just switched to build: context: https://github.com/FreshRSS/FreshRSS.git#edge and redeployed (so I am now on 1.23.2-dev).

Those are my results:

• normal feed (slashdot): no issues
• json feed (jsonfeed.org): error
  
  from the logs: ⚠️ 2024-03-12 08:23:30 Unknown error for feed [https://www.jsonfeed.org/feed.json]⚠️ 2024-03-12 08:23:04 A feed could not be found at https://www.jsonfeed.org/feed.json; the status code is 200 and content-type is application/json [https://www.jsonfeed.org/feed.json] (I tried twice)

I am not sure how to use the other two (css selector and html+xpath web scraping) :-( If you give me any instructions, I would be glad to do the testing.
