Great insights! Thanks for the feedback. I will make some changes to it and upload a few different designs later to get more feedback. Looking at it now I am also not a huge fan of the colors. I'm still struggling with color palettes and which ones to use for which designs. I'm trying to learn though and make changes based on new things I read about color theory :)

@HaydenMills This one looks great, too. A bit of a nitpick, but velociraptors had a slightly more pointy beaks, which makes them look more sinister. Here's a decent stylized illustration I found showing the diagonal nature of their face and teeth:

Also, another nitpick - humans seem to prefer images where the subject is looking from left to right (since that's our natural reading direction.) I'm not sure if we want to do this here since the goal is to make the dinosaur unnerving, but I thought I'd mention it :)
